Today, oil hit $140.39, closed at record, corn hit record, soybeans close to record, and wheat up major on concern for supply. And we have not even attacked Iran yet for IsraLIE. This price comparison will only go up for the foreseeable future. The only reason beef and pork are modest in increase is because there has been a huge herd sell off, flooding the markets, this was caused by drought and ever increasing feed cost. Beef, pork, chicken, and turkey are also set to explode. Even this comparison of May 2007 vice May 2008 is dated Corn May 2008 5.12 Today 7.88; Soybeans May 2008 12.30 Today 15.62 Wheat May 2008 Today 9.73. Hyperinflation approaches, y’all. Here at Cracker’s Last Stand, we got cows in the pasture and tomatoes growing on the vine.
